BREW Developer Process

Creating and selling applications using BREW® follows this simple four step process:

Download the BREW SDK®
Download the FREE BREW SDK and start developing BREW applications today!
- Fill out BREW SDK form and click through the license agreement
- Download the BREW SDK
- Review the latest programming primer for BREW application development
The next three steps apply to developers writing applications for BREW Operators using the standard BREW business model.
Become a BREW Developer
Authenticated BREW Developers receive the benefits of the Alliance Program.
- Review Alliance Program member benefits
- Become a BREW Developer and follow-up with Authentication steps
Application Development
Authenticated developers are given access to the BREW Developer Extranet, which contains the tools and information necessary to develop applications for specific BREW devices.
- Get development tools
- Develop a BREW application
- Simulate the BREW application on a BREW device
Commercialization and Payments
Application testing is performed by an independent third party. Application distribution is managed by the developer via the BREW Developer Extranet.
- Submit application for Compatibility Testing ($)
- Complete and negotiate Pricing Plans with operators for Application Distribution
